Nicholas Johnson is an Honorably Discharged US Army veteran with over 25 years’ experience in public and private community and economic development finance and corporate and commercial transactional law. Nicholas advises for-profit and non-profit entities with regarding a broad list of opportunities related to federal, state, and local government tax credits, bonds, and tax increment financing as well as commercial finance strategies including reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, and debt and equity securities issuance. Nicholas also specializes in taxation of pass-through entities such as trusts and estates, limited liability companies, general and limited partnerships, S Corps, and cooperatives. Nicholas has originated over $1 billion in debt, equity and tax incentives for businesses, nonprofits, and units of government.
Nicholas is a candidate for the LLM in Banking and Financial Services with specializations in the Business of Banking and Securities Transactions from Boston University School of Law. Nicholas received his juris doctorate and graduate certificate with specialization in Corporate & Commercial Law from Indiana University McKinney School of Law. Nicholas completed his bachelor’s and master’s in Public Administration from Texas State University and is an alum of the PhD in Public Policy at Southern University and A&M College (Baton Rouge).
Nicholas and his wife, Cori, have seven (7) daughters, Nichole (30), Allison (28), Tessah (26), Lauryn (24), Payton (120), Olivia (12) and Natalia (8).
