With over 12 years of experience in tax compliance and consulting, Nate Hampton is a Managing Director in the Alternative Investment Funds practice at Andersen Tax LLC. He specializes in delivering tax services to clients across the asset management sector, including private equity funds, hedge funds, fund of funds, family office investment partnerships, and investment management companies.
Nate has extensive experience addressing complex tax issues in the asset management industry, such as partnership tax allocation, fund management fee waivers, and profit interest structuring. He has provided guidance to his clients throughout the M&A tax due diligence process, assisted with tax planning for debt workouts, and has provided tax-efficient strategies for the acquisition and disposition of investments within intricate fund structures.
Nate began his career with Andersen Tax LLC in Chicago, IL. Before rejoining the firm in 2019, he served as a manager in KPMG’s Financial Services tax practice where he supported both publicly traded investment companies and privately held investment vehicles in navigating complex tax matters. Now based in Des Moines, IA, Nate continues to leverage his diverse experience to guide clients through the evolving tax landscape.
