Bio
Christopher Lee (“Chris”) is an entrepreneur and investor focused on acquiring and growing small to mid-sized essential services companies through his firm, Catamount Crest. Based in Chicago, Chris is actively pursuing opportunities with $2–$6 million in EBITDA, particularly in industries such as skilled trades, light manufacturing with aftermarket or service revenue, and distribution businesses with recurring or service components.
Chris brings more than 15 years of experience in finance, corporate strategy, and operations. He began his career in the oil and energy sector in technical roles and later held leadership roles in product management and corporate strategy in the insurance industry, where he shaped long-term growth plans and managed P&Ls. Chris then served as Vice President in Investment Banking at BMO Capital Markets, where he executed over $100 billion in mergers, acquisitions, and financing transactions across the commercial real estate sector, and he founded a fitness company.
Today, through Catamount Crest, Chris combines Wall Street discipline with operational grit and founder empathy to structure win-win transactions that create long-term, sustainable value for stakeholders. His approach emphasizes growth, stability, and legacy, ensuring that sellers transition their businesses with confidence.
Chris holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS in Finance from the University of Utah.
