Ivy leads WHIZDOM, Inc., a firm that provides highly-focused expertise on conducting the most important type of due diligence in the company acquisition process: Customer Due Diligence. We also conduct discussions with Customers to gain insights and intelligence for operators and sellers a year or two before exit.

WHIZDOM seeks to collaborate with PE firms, investment bankers, lenders, M&A intermediaries, business brokers, Search Funds and other M&A professionals involved with the lower middle market.

Pre-acquisition of a company:

WHIZDOM CUSTOMER DUE DILIGENCE SERVICES
As Customers are the lifeblood of a Company, WHIZDOM helps the acquirer by conducting Customer Due Diligence as part of the Due Diligence process. WHIZDOM is an independent, objective and unbiased and has years of expertise in this. WHIZDOM enable the acquirer to mitigate risk by understanding Customer retention, unforeseen churn, and Customers potentially not buying more products and services at higher prices.

During operating a company and/or obtaining Customer insights from the companies in an investor’s portfolio:

WHIZDOM CUSTOMER INSIGHTS
The investors of acquired companies cannot trust the management to be objective about the company’s Customers as they’re operating the company. WHIZDOM conducts discussions directly with Customers to give the investors insights on the Customers’ perspective

Preparing for an exit:
WHIZDOM CUSTOMER INSIGHTS FOR AN EXIT

A year or two before selling a company investors may wish to learn about the Customers that would be relevant to determining an asking price, provide feedback on Customer concentration, ensure Customer recurring revenue.

Ivy founded WHIZDOM, Inc. in 2003. Prior to WHIZDOM, Ivy was a marketing executive at Apple and a financial executive at 20th-Century Fox Film Corporation. Ivy started her career as a CPA with a Big 4 firm.

Ivy holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business along with a BS in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
